MFT Trainee
Ginger is a North County San Diego local, having grown up in Oceanside. They attended MiraCosta College and the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Feminist Studies with a Minor in Applied Psychology. Currently, Ginger is completing her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology on the path toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Throughout her schooling, Ginger has specialized in research on polyamory and ethical nonmonogamy, demystifying emotions of jealousy, unlearning patriarchal modes of being, and the suppressed histories of the systemic abuse of women of color.
Ginger identifies proudly as queer in both sexual and gender identities, which inform her work by challenging binary models of thought and existence. Ginger brings warmth and genuineness into the therapy room through their therapeutic approaches of narrative therapy, internal family systems/parts work, and psychodynamic perspectives. By highlighting her client's strengths and promoting resilience, Ginger will help guide you into alignment with your most authentic self.
In their free time, Ginger enjoys life's simple pleasures, such as gardening, cooking, and nurturing her two rescue dogs. They also have a decade's worth of knowledge on astrology that she believes can be used as a powerful tool for self-reflection and discovering hidden strengths in us all.
