JUSTICE FOR ANDRY JOSE HERNANDEZ ROMERO

WHY ANDRY JOSE HERNANDEZ ROMERO?

We hope this move will encourage the humanization of our LGBTQ+ immigrants and victims of Trump's policies and resistance to the blatant abuse of our US Government.

Andry is a gay man who 2 years ago sought legal asylum in the US given a violent government persecution in Venezuela due to his sexual orientation. Andry had entered the US by following his application for asylum legally.

Andry’s lawyer also confirmed that his client had no criminal record and that his case had no challenge in being approved. Yet, ICE officers have arrested and deported him to El Salvador without due process. Andry was accused of being affiliated to a Venezuelan’s gang without any verifiable proof.

ANDRY'S STORY IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE

Unfortunately, the story of Andry Jose’ Hernandez Romero it is not an isolated case. Since the Trump administration took office, a number of migrants were deported without due process under the Executive order the “Enemy Act."

Additionally, the term "enemy of the state" can also be used more broadly to describe someone suspected of political crimes against the state, such as treason. The last time the Enemy Act was enacted was to create Japanese concentration camps during WW2 and to deport Italians during WW1.

Many others immigrants have been removed for being in open opposition to the US international policies such as Mahmoud Khalil, Kilmar Ábrego García and Rümeysa Öztürk are among the many who have been targeted by the Trump administration for exercising their first amendment.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP MAKE THINGS RIGHT!

Bring Andry José Hernández Romero back to the US to partake in his asylum hearing; we do not stand for the arrests, deportations, and imprisonments driven by the current bigoted administration.

We are requesting our supporters to contact any representatives in support of his safe return as well as a demand for stopping deportations and imprisonments without due process.

We ask you to sign the HRC petition to bring Justice for Andry José Hernández Romero and Kilmar Abrego Garcia following the link in our bio.
