PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF HIV/AIDS

The North County LGBTQ Resource Center is striving to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS in our community with testing and education to enrich the lives of those who are affected affected through support, counseling, and advocacy.

Our HIV/AIDS outreach includes health fairs, screenings, and testing at sponsored events. We have a variety of speakers including doctors, nutritionists, and pharmacists who cover topics such as treatment, drug trials, and nutrition.

​

Come by the Resource Center to pick up FREE condoms and lube.

THRIVE AND FEEL SUPPORTED

Thrive is a supportive group for LGBTQI+ who happen to be HIV positive, to discuss feelings about sex, disclosure of HIV status, health care, medication use, and substance use, isolation and community-building, dating and relationships, life transitions, and other relevant issues.

THRIVE is organized by North County LGBTQ Resource Center and meets every second Tuesday of the month from 5
:00pm -7:00pm at the Resource Center.


HIV/AIDS TESTING AND COUNSELING

Counseling and testing is held every Wednesday at the North County LGBTQ Resource Center between 5:00-8:00 pm.  

 

These services are provided by the Vista Community Clinic and the North County Health Services.  Contact us for additional information at 760-994-1690.

COURT-MANDATED HIV CLASSES

Individual court-mandated classes are given by arrangement in a non-judgmental and confidential environment.

 

The cost is $40 cash.
