JODI
She/Her
Associate MFT, Clinical Program Manager
Jodi grew up on a small farm in rural Texas and received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Texas in 1998. Since then, she has lived in Western Montana, the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland, Oregon, and now in San Diego County. Her experiences as a small business owner, yoga and mindfulness instructor, and mother of two inspired her current beliefs and piqued her interest in becoming a marriage and family therapist.
Jodi is passionate about working with and supporting LGBTQIA clients and offers queer and gender affirming therapy services. Additionally, she is a skilled couples therapist. Her perspective is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and she believes in the importance of deconstructing beliefs based on larger systems of power and decentering cisheteronormativity to support clients in their authentic gender and sexual expression and in living meaningful and fulfilling lives. She has been dedicated to the growth and development of the center’s behavioral health program and therapist training program for the past 3 ½ years. A lifelong student, Jodi is currently obtaining a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy. She currently lives in Oceanside with her son, dog, and cat; she enjoys cooking, gardening, streaming, and listening to reggae music.
