AMBER WILKINSON

She/Her

MFT/PCC Trainee

Amber earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University. Her academic background, combined with a dynamic skill set, has enabled her to serve in nonprofit roles where she introduced innovative ideas, built lasting partnerships, and fostered strong connections within the community. With a deep passion for uplifting others and developing accessible resources, Amber has spent the past two decades dedicated to supporting urban communities in California’s Central Valley — a region she proudly calls home. Her advocacy spans a wide range of underserved groups, including youth and foster families, the LGBTQIA+ community, and unhoused individuals impacted by poverty. Throughout her career, she has worked to amplify marginalized voices, facilitate access to essential services, and champion social equity.

Amber is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree at UMASS Global and is on the path to licensure as both a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Professional Clinical Counselor. As
a trainee, she continues to bring empathy, insight, and commitment to her therapeutic practice. Guided by a steadfast belief in justice, human rights, and mental health advocacy, Amber remains a powerful force for change — dedicated to making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of those she serves. She identifies as a cisgender woman and proudly belongs to both the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. She values quality time with her family and enjoys exploring new places through travel. In her clinical work, Amber practices from a Narrative Therapy perspective, embracing a collaborative and client-centered approach. She is dedicated to helping clients uncover their strengths and core values, while deconstructing dominant societal narratives that may have shaped their experiences. Amber is especially passionate about supporting individuals in externalizing the challenges they face and re-authoring their personal stories in ways that promote healing, empowerment, and renewed identity.
