Maria has served on the Board of Directors since 2015. During her time volunteering with the NC Center she has served as Board Chair, Secretary, Director of Project Youth and Gala Chair. She also helped start the Unicorn Homes Program.

As a District Social Worker in Oceanside Unified School District Maria works to ensure equity for all students, families and staff. Maria is a Welcoming Schools Certified Trainer and is excited to provide this professional development to educators at schools and conferences
