Alia is one of the original board members of the North County LGBT Coalition which became the North County LGBTQ Resource Center. She served in various roles in both organizations until August of 2013 when life’s demands required a break from volunteering. Female is the best approximation of her gender; she started transitioning in 2024. She enjoys hiking, tent camping in National Parks & sailing. It is a joy to serve on the board of the Center that she loves so much.
