Nicole Kent has been facilitating the Our Circle social support group for approximately 11 years. The group is a safe haven for all of North County’s young LGBTQI community. The group is free to attend and open to ages 14-24. Our Circle meets every Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Our Circle
Our Circle is not a therapy group. It is a friendly and casual gathering that allows members to share the highs and lows of their lives. Nicole is present to provide support, answer questions, and to assist members with connecting to other support services if necessary.
Nicole’s hope is to expand Our Circle to provide services to younger LGBTQI children and their families. She also hopes to raise money to fund more outings and activities for the group.
Nicole Kent has a PhD in clinical psychology and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has a private practice in the village in Carlsbad. Her practice specializes in trauma, abuse, relationships, and, of course, LGBT concerns. Nicole lives with her wife of 12 years and their two daughters in Oceanside. She loves to do art, workout, play scrabble, and to play magic fairy princess with her daughters (she is usually cast as the witch).
