Men’s Services

The Resource Center is proud to host and sponsor many social, discussion, and support groups for men.  If you are looking to socialize, discuss various topics and issues, or seek support, the North County LGBTQ Resource Center has something for you.

Below is a list of the various men’s groups offered at the Resource Center.  All events and groups take place at the Resource Center and are free unless otherwise noted.  Please contact us at 760-994-1690 or info@ncresourcecenter.org for additional information.

ElderPride – Older Gay Men’s Support Group

ElderPride is a weekly educational and support group for gay men, 55+ who are dealing with issues of aging in a youth-oriented culture. Come and learn about the principles of conscious aging and becoming a true elder. Develop your own vision for a vibrant, productive life during this time of transition. Increase your sense of self-worth as you connect with others who are also exploring this challenging and rewarding time of life.

This group will be facilitated by Sandra Rogers who is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with fourteen years of experience in delivering mental health services to the HIV/AIDS community in Los Angeles. She also specialized in working with gay men in her private practice there and conducted workshops on Conscious Coupling and Spirit and Flesh in the Learning Curve program at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. As a private practice therapist here in North County, she continues to work with gay men.

Meets every Friday at 10:00 AM at the Resource Center.

Men’s Coming Out Support Group

A group to support men who are straight, gay, bi, trans or questioning in coming out and being out.  If you need support in being comfortable telling people who you are, this is the group for you.  We believe that everyone is always coming out in one way or another.

Meets every Monday at 6:30 PM at the Resource Center.

Men’s HIV+ Support Group

A supportive group for men, who are HIV+, to discuss feelings about disclosure of HIV status, health care and medication use, sex, substance use, isolation and community-building, dating and relationships, life transitions, and other relevant issues.

Meets every Wednesday from 6:00-7:15 PM at the Resource Center.

This group is proudly sponsored by Fallbrook Pharmacy.
